Our whistleblower portal

By reporting misconduct, you are helping us to uncover irregularities at an early stage, enabling us to act before damage is sustained, or to remedy or mitigate damage already incurred. You are, thereby, helping us to comply with our principles, tackle injustice and protect anyone, who has been harmed. You are also helping us to reduce risks in the working environment and prevent damage and the loss of reputation. It is irrelevant whether these are caused by individual misconduct or by failings in procedures or processes.

We, the Evangelisches Werk für Diakonie und Entwicklung e.V. (EWDE – Protestant Agency for Diakonie and Development), would like to encourage everyone to report any violations of laws or internal regulations relating to the work of the EWDE. This applies to any indication of illegal or unethical conduct by management, staff or others connected to the EWDE, as well as partner organisations. This includes suspicion of:

• corruption and bribery
• embezzlement, fraud, misappropriation
• conflicts of interest
• sexual misconduct and sexual exploitation
• violations of human rights

This also includes information relating to actual or potential instances of misconduct and/or attempted concealment. The EWDE investigates all reports of actual or suspected violations and provides for clarification. The EWDE does everything within its power to ensure that the whistleblower suffers no negative consequences, provided that the information provided is legitimate.

If you would like to submit a report, the following reporting channels are available, which you can choose to use anonymously:

• Whistleblower Portal
  The whistleblower portal can be used around the clock anywhere in the world and is available in several languages. It enables information to be submitted anonymously and guarantees the highest possible standards of communication security, even without the provision of email addresses or phone numbers. Points of contact are the Integrity Team in the EWDE and the ombudsperson in the whistleblower portal.
